|Richard Adams is the owner and one of the senior trainers at Studio 121. As a competitor in endurance events Richard enjoys helping prepare his clients for similar challenges. His knowledge of functional strength training has helped many clients achieve lifetime bests and most importantly kept them injury free. As a strength and conditioning coach he has worked with a number of local athletes in Rugby, Athletics, Golf, Rowing and Motor Racing.|
Trainer / Researcher
Dale Grant is a personal trainer at Studio 121. With a strong academic and applied background, Dale enjoys working with a wide range of clients of varying abilities. His scientific yet pragmatic approach has helped many clients achieve their health, performance and body composition goals. With a particular interest in muscle physiology, Dale is a keen believer in being active, and maintaining vitality as we age. Outside of the gym, Dale is currently undertaking a PhD in exercise and sport science at Manchester Metropolitan University, specifically investigating “The effects of physical behaviour upon metabolic & musculo-skeletal health”.
Rob has been helping clients to achieve their health and fitness goals for over 4 years. He specialises in fitness and weight management for our small group training clients and those in 1 to 1 training. Rob has been a competitive Thai boxer for a number of years and brings his wealth of experience and discipline to our BoxFit classes.
Mat has worked in the Health and Fitness industry for over 15 years, and bring with him a diverse range of skills and expertise. Mat started his career in football, and moved into personal training and group sessions early on.
Mat has specialised in working alongside clients dealing with a range of concerns from obesity & its related health concerns, through to using exercise to help manage mental health issues.
More recently Mat has been developing a passion for Crossfit and the techniques that style of training utilises. Mat regularly implements strength work, compound & functional movements, metabolic conditioning and interval work into his training sessions.
